1. Who We Are

Shiftora is a Discord bot that provides shift management functionality for Discord servers. References to "we", "us", or "Shiftora" in this policy refer to the operators of the Shiftora Discord bot and its associated website.

2. What Data We Collect

Shiftora collects only the minimum data required to operate the service:

• Discord user IDs - used to associate shift records with individual users. We do not store usernames or profile information.
• Discord server (guild) IDs - used to scope all configuration and shift data to the correct server.
• Shift records - timestamps for when shifts start, pause, resume, and end. This is the core data the bot is designed to store.
• Server configuration - settings you configure via /setup or the dashboard, such as channel IDs, role IDs, and feature toggles.
• Shift notes - if your server has the require notes option enabled via the dashboard, the text entered by staff when clocking in is stored as part of the shift record.

We do not collect message content, voice data, profile pictures, email addresses, or any data outside of what is described above.

3. How We Use Your Data

All data collected is used exclusively to provide the Shiftora service:

• Displaying shift status, history, and statistics via bot commands
• Calculating totals, averages, and leaderboard rankings
• Enforcing server-configured rules (min/max durations, required notes, etc.)
• Posting shift logs to configured log channels

We do not use your data for advertising, analytics products, model training, or any purpose beyond operating the bot.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. The only exceptions are:

• Infrastructure providers - we use hosting and database services to run Shiftora. These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually prohibited from using it for any other purpose.
• Legal requirements - we may disclose data if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process.

5. Data Retention

Shift records are retained as long as your server has Shiftora installed. Server administrators can request full data deletion at any time by contacting us through our support server.

When Shiftora is removed from a server (kicked or banned), we will automatically delete all associated server data within 30 days.

Individual user data can be deleted on request. Use /setup reset to clear server settings, or contact us to request full user-level data removal.

6. Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect stored data, including encrypted database connections and access controls. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet or stored on our systems.

7. Children's Privacy

Shiftora is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from users under 13. Discord's own Terms of Service require users to be at least 13 years old, and we rely on that requirement as a prerequisite for using ShiftTrack.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Shiftora after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

For significant changes, we will post a notice in our support server.
